Part of Foxy Doxy Dachshund Rescue’s contract is that the dog is never to go to a shelter, be euthanized, placed in another home or any other location without the consent of FDD Rescue.
IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN THIS AREA AND THE ADOPTION DOES NOT WORK OUT YOU THE ADOPTER ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DOG BACK TO FDDR. Do you accept that responsibility?
All adoption fees must be paid in cash. No exceptions. Is this a problem for you?
If you do not have a dog please answer the questions as if you had that dog you were interested in adopting! We want to match the dog with the person! Personality and character are key to matching with an adoptive parents lifestyle!

Notes on schedule:
Are you willing to provide lots of love and care, which involves vet care yearly if not more?
Dogs need an annual check up that includes but not limited to shots, tests and preventive medicine! Are you able to afford this?
These dogs in some cases have had a hard start to life and may require more patience and love than another dog.
IT CAN TAKES WEEKS FOR A DOG TO FEEL COMFORTABLE! THERE MAY BE ACCIDENTS IN YOUR HOME, THERE COULD BE FIGHTS WITH OTHER DOGS IN YOUR HOME. THE DOG MAY HAVE SEPARATION ANXIETY AND OTHER PROBLEMS TOO! ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THESE POSSIBILITIES?
We have yet to have a home that once time was given and effort made that the dog did not adjust and prosper! So please be sure you have the time and patience for a new member of the family!
Are you aware Dachshunds can be difficult to potty train and take extra time and patience?
If at any point you are unable to care for the dog or dogs at any time for any reason you are to call me. The dog or dogs are not to go into another home or shelter or put down etc. with out my consent!
